Workforce
Training and mentoring
The clinic is being built as a place that teaches, not only a place that treats. Stronger local health workers are how the work lasts.

Who it is for
- Staff of rural clinics
- Community health workers
- Resident doctors and medical students
- Visiting trainers who want to teach
Already happening
More than 15 rural facilities in Yobe and Kano receive training, mentoring and telemedicine support. In Kano State, with ECWA Kano DCC, the team has run Community Health Officer training alongside the Sumana Village outreach.
What we are building toward
- Continuous professional development
- Mentoring for community health workers and clinic staff
- Rotations with Bingham University Teaching Hospital
- Telemedicine support for rural clinics
- A Healthcare Training and Telemedicine Center with virtual learning, so people can teach and learn at a distance
The training centre is a plan, not a finished building. It is meant to support professional development, specialist advice, mentorship and collaboration with people outside Jos.

Trainees and visiting trainers can leave a note. This is not an application form and it does not reserve a place.
